B. Voc. In Cardiac Care

COURSE OVERVIEW

Cardiac care courses are undergraduate programs that train students to care for patients with cardiopulmonary diseases. They teach students about the heart and circulatory system, and how to use cardiovascular technologies and equipment to assist doctors during cardiovascular testing. Students learn to prepare patients for heart-related surgeries, assist surgeons with pacemakers, monitor patients during surgeries, perform electrocardiograms and cardiac stress tests, and maintain and handle instruments used to monitor irregular heartbeats.
